It’s 1:50. The wedding ceremony is exactly 45 minutes away and it starts at 3:00. Charlie is suited up with his tie on. I slip into my dress to realize, the seam popped. “Dang it!” I shout. With no time to change (needing new shoes and accessories to match) I grab my sewing kit. With 40 minutes in the car, I figure it’s a quick fix. I stitch up the dress, while wearing it, with 10 minutes to spare before we arrive at the church. This wardrobe malfunction could have been a whole lot worse!
That is some impressive work. And…I remember the days of every weekend a wedding. The next year or two it was every weekend a baby shower, then a birthday party. You get the picture

Haha! Yes yes. I’m already seeing the baby shower transition, too!

Well done…if you weren’t handy with the needle, this would have been a whole different story!

I love your determination! I’ve had to take off a dress in a bathroom stall before to stitch a separating sleeve back to the body. Never could’ve done it while wearing it!

That’s funny that this has happened to you! You’re lucky you had a needle and thread when this happened to you!

Thank you!! I’m lucky I was able to fix it on the way. I don’t know what I would have done if my attempt to stitch it up had failed 😂

Wow! Glad the malfunction was fixed in time. Boy are your brave to sew, while in a car, while the material is on you.
